“Ercole Moretti & F.lli” was established in 1911 by three brothers, for the production of two of the most traditional Venetian glass beads, the “chevron” and the “Millefiori” beads.
The Company is now managed by the sons and the grandchildren of the founders and a long the years the production has greatly expanded.
However one of the favourite techniques has always been murrine working, leading in the 70’s to the production of the medallions that enjoyed an immediate success due to the originality of the idea and the perfection of the workmanship, becoming a classic in this field.
They were later followed by small plates and bowls, refined objects reviving the complex and fascinating technique of ancient Roman murrine glass, that still today are the feather in the cap of the company.
The Company is now aiming to complement its traditional range with a new line featuring a strong contemporary direction, and has welcomed on board a group of international designers from various part of the world whom share a genuine spirit of inventiveness.
Their innovative interpretation of traditional production techniques have resulted in the ”Design Collection” an original range of decorative plates with a contemporary feel, that takes the aesthetic in a number of surprising new domestic landscapes.
